MonsterMob Buys 30% Stake in Malaysia's UnrealMind Interactive
(Bloomberg) - MonsterMob Group Plc, a provider of mobile-phone logos and videos, bought 30 percent of Malaysia's UnrealMind Interactive Berhad for 1.73 million pounds ($3.22 million) to expand in Southeast Asia.
MonsterMob, based in Lancaster, northern England, will pay 1.44 million pounds in cash and 290,000 pounds in shares at the `average middle market price in December 2004,'' the company said today in a Regulatory News Service statement. MonsterMob can increase its stake a further 10 percent by July.
UnrealMind, based in Kuala Lumpur, sells entertainment for mobile phones in Southeast Asia including Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Shares of MonsterMob have gained 22 percent this year and rose 1.5 percent to 170 pence as of 8:10 a.m., giving the company a market value of 41 million pounds.
